The firing took place on the Friday (July 5th) Line Line of Control, which set the boundaries of the two countries.

According to the Indian Ministry of Defense, the country’s media NDTV has reported this in an online report. Ministry spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Dibner confirmed the Indo-Asian news service (IANS) the authenticity of the incident.

Colonel Dinardar Anand told IANS that the incident happened in the winter capital of Jammu, around 9pm on Friday. The Pakistani army broke the ceasefire agreement, throwing a mortar shell on Indian soldiers in the Line of Control in Naushera sector of Rajouri district.

He said, “Indian soldiers are taking appropriate vengeance as part of counter-resistance after Pakistan’s ambush.” ​​NDTV said, by the various sources of the area, there was a massive firefight between the soldiers of the two countries.
