No shares without true and false verification : PM

Protidin News Desk : Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina urged everyone not to share or post anything on the internet and social media without verifying the truth. “I will tell people in the country that something has come up (uploaded to the internet), it is not right to react or do anything else,” he said. The correct information needs to be verified. ‘

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said this while addressing a function at the Bangabandhu International Conference Center in Dhaka on Wednesday morning.

Referring to the increase in the use of digital devices, increasing the opportunities and creating problems, the Prime Minister said, “It can be seen that many unnecessary links come out when using mobile phones, internet or apps. Therefore, proper filtering of harmful digital content must be made.

Sheikh Hasina said, it is better to not just listen to the rumor without verifying or just enter it (link) in your own curiosity. No comment should be given or spread or hand in it. Before sharing a post, you should first look for it, to see how true or false it is.

“Developing this practice will bring good for our society, the country and the lives of everyone,” the Prime Minister added.

On the occasion, the Prime Minister conferred the honor of ‘Digital Bangladesh-20’ among the individuals and organizations for their special contribution to the IT sector. He also inaugurated an app titled ‘My Government’.

State Minister for ICT Junaid Ahmed Polak, AKM Rahmatullah, Chairman of the Parliamentary Standing Committee on Postal and Telecommunications and ICT Ministry and concerned ministry secretary ANM Ziaul Alam spoke on the occasion.

A documentary on digital Bangladesh celebrations was also presented on December 12, along with a video illustrating the progress of the government’s ICT sector.

Cabinet members, PM’s advisors, MPs, senior government officials, foreign diplomats, representatives of development auxiliary organizations, entrepreneurs, ISPs and telecommunication-related people and invited guests were present on the occasion.
