Myanmar will have to put pressure on Rohingyas to return

Khaleda said that the government did not want to give shelter to Rohingyas first. I have already requested the government to provide shelter to the oppressed Rohingya. He said that the government’s action is not enough to send the Rohingya who took shelter in Bangladesh to their own country. The government has diplomatically failed to return Rohingya.

BNP chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia said that the government could not serve the Rohingya who took shelter in Bangladesh due to the killing and torture of Myanmar forces, the government did not serve the way the oppressed Rohingya needed to serve them.

Khaleda Zia said, Bangladesh is a small and poor country. I have stood by them because we have our hearts. NGOs of the country stood beside them. But they can not be permanently kept in our favor. The BNP chief urged the Myanmar government to take back the Rohingya who took shelter in Bangladesh.

He reached the camp at Ukhaia around 1pm on Monday. Earlier, he left for Cox’s Bazar Circuit House on the way to Ukhia around 11am.

Earlier, the former prime minister reached Cox’s Bazar Circuit House around 8pm on Sunday. He reached the Cox’s Bazar in eight hours after crossing the huge crowd of party leaders-workers and people with long carriages.

Begum Zia will also hand over five thousand children to the Doctor’s Association of Bangladesh-DAB for the distribution of food and maternity items, said Shayrul.

In the context, BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia has left from Gulshan’s residence around 10:30 am on Saturday for inspection and relief of Rohingya refugee camps in Cox’s Bazar.
